What we collect

When you use Erasmus.chat, we collect the minimum data needed to verify your student status and connect you with the right WhatsApp group:

• Email address — your university email, used only for verification
• City selection — your chosen Erasmus destination city

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Send a one-time verification code to confirm your student status
• Match you with the correct city-specific WhatsApp group

Email delivery

We use Resend as our email delivery provider. Resend processes your email address solely to deliver verification codes. No data is shared beyond what is necessary for email delivery.

What we don't do

• We never sell, share, or rent your data to third parties
• We never use your email for marketing or newsletters
• We don't track you across websites
• We don't use analytics cookies

Data retention

Verification codes expire after 10 minutes. We do not store your email address after verification is complete.
